Growing Roses in Central Oregon Saturday June 22nd, 11am-12pm

  • 64640 Old Bend Redmond Highway Bend, OR, 97701 United States (map)

Come join us and learn how to grow and care for roses in Central Oregon! We will have local rose expert Josh Alexander from the Bend Rose Club leading this class!

Josh Alexander Bio:

Josh has been working with roses since 2020. He took the Master Gardener course in 2023 through the OSU Extension office. He currently cares for 17 roses at his own home and has helped others plant roses in theirs. He recently added 35 roses to the existing rose garden at Pioneer Park in Bend. The rose garden at Pioneer Park was abandoned for 20 years or so and he is working on restoring and carrying for the 78 roses now planted. He is a member of the American Rose Society, the Portland Rose Society, and the Tri City Rose Society. He is studying to be a consulting rosarian and working under Master Rosarians in Tri City Rose Society. He is trying to expand the Bend Rose Club to foster love of and care of roses in Central Oregon and we cannot wait to have him here with us to share his passion and knowledge.
